God Looking Down on Man. Original one-of-a-kind oil painting by Victor Mideros Almeida. Martin C. Forrester purchased this painting in 1963 directly from the artist in Ecuador, and it has remained with the family ever since. Signed lower right, in its original wood frame. Unlike the carvings in this collection, this is a single named-artist original. Mideros's work also hangs in museums and churches across Quito and Ecuador, and is held in the permanent collection of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum in Boston.
